When it comes to off-site promotion, the first things that come to mind are probably Facebook and Google ads. Since Facebook ads only search based on demographic and interest characteristics, they do not fall into the category of CPC keyword ads. Therefore, we will leave Facebook ads out of the picture for now and focus on Google ads today. A conversion on Google is likely to bring a sense of recognition that is deeply rooted in the buyer's heart, which will bring higher profits, higher order volumes and more continuous repeat purchases! Several common types of Google ads They are: Search ads (Search), Display ads (Display), and Shopping ads (Shopping). 1: Search ads (most commonly used) Ads that are displayed only when someone searches. When users search for certain keywords, the corresponding text ads will appear in the user's search results. The keywords set for the ad are matched based on the words or phrases searched by the user, and matching and high-quality ads may be displayed in the user's search results. For example, if you sell trucks, you can add "purchase truck" as a keyword in your AdWords campaign. When someone types "purchase truck" into Google Search, your ad could appear on the search results page. The picture above takes the example of searching for the keyword vacuum furnace in Google. The search results with the "Ad" logo are search ads, while the ones on the right with pictures, texts and prices are shopping ads (Google shopping). The main body of a search ad consists of three parts: title, display URL, and description, as shown in the following figure: In addition, when setting up search ads, you can also choose to add display ads at the same time to expand your coverage. 2: Display ads That is, displaying ads to specific groups or websites targeted by advertisers, so that ads appear in many websites, mobile applications and video content. (The Google Display Network consists of 2 million websites, covering more than 90% of Internet users worldwide). Display ads can be set as responsive ads, image ads, interactive ads, Gmail ads, etc. (1) Publishers can display ads in a targeted manner according to specific audience groups, such as users who have visited the website before, users who have added products to the shopping cart but have not placed an order, users who may be interested in purchasing specific products, users with obvious audience characteristics (such as young mothers), etc. (2) Publishers can target content so that ads appear on web pages or websites containing content of a specific category. For example, if an ad is selling yoga socks, the advertiser can target the ad to be displayed on a yoga blog. 3. Shopping ads (Google shopping) Simply put, if you shop on Google, then why should they advertise for you? Of course it is paid. The Google ads we usually do are text ads, but our Google shopping can directly display the products in front of the users, as shown in the figure: The red box here shows the ads through Google shopping. If it is the green arrow in the picture below, it is displayed through search ads. Against the backdrop of the cross-border export e-commerce trend, more people choose Google to place advertisements. According to the data, Google’s advertising method has accounted for 56.98% of the traffic of independent website sellers. More and more people choose Google’s method to attract traffic. Similarly, the trend of Google search is also obvious to all. It is the world’s number one search engine! Overseas, Google Shopping accounts for 55% of ad clicks in Google's total searches, which means that this section is a treasure trove for acquiring traffic and will eventually become one of the necessary channels for independent site sellers to obtain business opportunities, so don't always limit yourself to traffic channels like Facebook. As you can see from the case in the picture above, Google shopping ads are relatively more mature and are very clearly displayed in front of users. It can be said that anyone who is interested will try to click on them, and conversion rate will be generated after clicking! Moreover, Google can also help you achieve better conversion rates and effective data detection based on a lot of analysis and data detection! As a piece of land that you cultivate yourself, there are many ways to play with an independent website. How to achieve good marketing, build a brand, and thus gain users' attention and purchases is a question that every independent website operator needs to think about. Therefore, sellers should consider the brand more and how to retain users. They should have their own core products instead of simply selling goods on the platform. Google Ads just happened to play a supporting role. We just need to grasp this high-quality resource and do relevant on-site optimization. Author: Cross-border Savior Source: Cross-border Savior |
