3. What are the venues for the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games?

The Beijing competition zone will host all ice events, and the Yanqing and Zhangjiakou competition zones will host all snow events.

1. National Stadium

Event: Paralympic ice hockey

As one of the competition venues for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, the National Stadium has hosted gymnastics, trampoline and other events. After the renovation, it will host some men's and women's ice hockey competitions of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and the disabled ice hockey competitions of the Winter Paralympics. In addition to ice hockey, the venue can also host figure skating, short track speed skating and other events after the game, and has the multifunctional conversion capability to carry out summer sports.

2. National Aquatics Center

Competition: Wheelchair curling

In 2019, the National Aquatics Center, a dual Olympic venue, created four Winter Olympics standard curling tracks through water-to-ice conversion for the first time. The water-to-ice conversion allows the National Aquatics Center to switch freely between water and ice functions, and it can simultaneously have the ability to carry out water sports, ice sports, and various large-scale activities. The venue’s swimming pool is open to the public as usual.

3. National Alpine Skiing Center

Event: Paralympic Alpine Skiing

Alpine skiing is known as the crown jewel of the Winter Olympics. The National Alpine Skiing Center has 7 ski slopes with steep slopes and large drops, making construction extremely difficult. It is mainly used for alpine skiing events. At the same time, the National Alpine Skiing Center also includes supporting facilities such as the mountaintop starting area, the middle platform, the competition end area, the distribution square, and the cableway.

4. National Biathlon Center

Events: Paralympic cross-country skiing, Paralympic biathlon

The National Biathlon Center is located in the valley on the northeast side of Taizicheng area in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City. It is equipped with shooting ranges, tracks, starting and finishing areas, venue technical buildings, etc. The National Biathlon Center will host the biathlon competitions of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the biathlon competitions of the Winter Paralympics.

5. Genting Snow Park

Event: Paralympic Snowboarding

Genting Snow Park includes six tracks: U-shaped field skills, slope obstacle skills, snow skills, aerial skills, obstacle pursuit, and parallel giant slalom, producing a total of 20 gold medals. Zhangjiakou Mountain Media Center is located in the venue complex and was converted from the Genting Hotel. Genting Snow Park is not only a training base for the national freestyle skiing and snowboarding teams, but also provides a high-quality venue for mass ice and snow sports.
