Sitting for a long time without exercise

Sitting for a long time will weaken the body's limb muscles, causing weakness in the limbs and easy fatigue.

It will also reduce blood volume in blood vessels throughout the body, leading to insufficient blood in the chest cavity, causing decreased cardiopulmonary function; insufficient blood supply to the brain, increasing the possibility of developing Alzheimer's disease.

It can also easily cause gastrointestinal motility to slow down, the digestive glands to secrete less digestive fluid, symptoms such as loss of appetite, and aggravate digestive system symptoms such as abdominal distension, constipation, and indigestion.

Recommendation: Get up and stretch your body every 2-3 hours.

Cross your legs

Many people like to cross their legs when they sit down, but this common little action can cause considerable harm.

If you cross your legs for a long time, your hip joints will become uneven, causing pelvic dislocation. Moreover, the knees that are padded will be under pressure for a long time, which can easily affect the blood circulation in the lower limbs. Poor blood flow will increase the risk of varicose veins in the lower legs, cause lower limb edema, and even degenerative arthritis.

If it is a woman, it may also cause fertility problems and gynecological diseases; and for men, it may also cause reproductive problems.

Experts recommend: It is best not to cross your legs for more than 10 minutes, and avoid crossing your legs too tightly. If sweat seeps out from the inner thighs, you should immediately get up and walk outside to ventilate.

Skipping breakfast

After a night of consumption, the body needs to replenish energy in time, otherwise the glycogen and protein in the body will be consumed, which will cause dry skin, wrinkles, and accelerated aging over time.

If you skip breakfast, your stomach acid will not have enough food to digest and will irritate the gastric mucosa, which can easily lead to gastritis, gastric ulcers and other stomach diseases.

Similarly, if you don't eat dinner, hunger will promote the secretion of gastric acid and affect sleep.

Playing with mobile phone in toilet

Nowadays, people like to bring a mobile phone or a book with them when they go to the toilet, and squat for half an hour. This can easily lead to long-term compression of blood vessels in the lower limbs, insufficient blood supply, numbness, and easily cause falls.

Studies have shown that squatting for more than 3 minutes can cause varicose veins and congestion in the rectum, and induce hemorrhoids.

In addition, you should not exert too much force when defecating, especially for people who already have high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, coronary heart disease, diabetes and other diseases, as this can easily induce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents.

Turn off the lights and play with your phone

When I can’t fall asleep while lying in bed, even though I have turned off the lights, I will still silently pick up my phone and play for a while.

Using your eyes in dim light will cause your pupils to dilate for a long time, blocking the circulation of fluid in the eyes and easily leading to the occurrence of glaucoma.

Glaucoma is the number one irreversible blinding eye disease in my country.

In addition, studies have found that using a mobile phone for one hour a day will increase the risk of brain tumors in the long run.

Tips: Try to avoid playing with your phone before going to bed or in dim environments; when browsing, keep the phone 30 cm away from your eyes, and do not play with your phone for more than 45 minutes at a time.

Long bath

Some people like to take a bath for an hour, thinking that it can relieve body fatigue.

Little do people know that taking a bath for a long time will increase the steam in the room and reduce the oxygen content in the air, which can easily cause the brain to suffer from hypoxia, which in turn aggravates fatigue. Hypoxia in the head can also easily lead to coronary artery spasm, thrombosis, and even sudden death in severe cases.

Recommendation: Bathing time should be controlled within 15-20 minutes. Pregnant women, the elderly and other special groups should take extra precautions when bathing.

Tip: It is not advisable to take a shower immediately when you are full, after drinking, or when you are tired to avoid accidents.

Drink less water

Many people don’t like to drink water, and instead use beverages, milk tea, coffee, etc. However, they don’t realize that this habit may be more harmful than smoking!

Drinking less water will increase blood viscosity due to lack of water, affecting blood circulation and making cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases more likely to occur. Drinking less water will lead to less fluid excretion, and some metabolic waste in the body cannot be excreted in time, which will increase the pressure on the liver and kidneys. In addition, lack of water can easily lead to insufficient saliva, and the chance of tooth decay and oral ulcers will also increase.

The total amount of water the human body needs every day is 1000-2000 ml. This number may increase or decrease slightly depending on seasonal temperature and physical condition.

Recommendation: Drink a glass of water when you wake up in the morning, because after a whole night of sleep, the body needs to replenish water in time; and at night, you should reduce your water intake appropriately to avoid frequent urination at night which may put a burden on the kidneys.

Squeeze pimples with your hands

It is very common to get pimples on the face, and many people squeeze them out of impulsiveness. Leaving acne pits and acne marks is a minor matter, but some people develop sepsis and almost lose their lives!

After the pimple is squeezed, bacteria can easily enter through the wound and flow into the cavernous sinus with the blood. If it continues to spread to the brain, it may cause meningitis!

Tip: Never pick the pimples on your face with your hands. You can apply some antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ointment to avoid friction.

With the quickening pace of life and high work pressure, more and more people are staying up late. Data reports show that about 32.2% of people sleep less than 6 hours.

According to a study published in the International Journal of Chronobiology, people who do not sleep at night and cannot get up in the morning have a 10% higher risk of death than those who go to bed early and get up early!

Staying up late for a long time will accelerate aging, cause more wrinkles, and hair loss problems. It will also lead to neurasthenia and even sudden death.
