The China Manned Space Engineering Office revealed on the 4th that after research and decision by the General Command of the Space Station Phase Flight Mission, the Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft will be launched at 10:44 Beijing time on June 5. The flight crew consists of astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, with Chen Dong as the commander. Currently, the Long March 2F Yao XIV rocket that will carry out this launch mission is about to start propellant filling.

China's space station will be built into a national space laboratory

At the press conference on the Shenzhou XIV manned flight mission held on June 4, Lin Xiqiang, spokesperson for the China Manned Space Program and deputy director of the China Manned Space Program Office, introduced that during the Shenzhou XIV mission, the construction of the space station with the Tianhe core module, the Wentian laboratory module and the Mengtian laboratory module as the basic configuration will be fully completed, and a national space laboratory will be built. The Shenzhou XIV flight crew will use the airlock located in the Wentian laboratory module for the first time to carry out two to three extravehicular activities, and will continue to carry out the Tiangong classroom.
