It is understood that on that afternoon, 9 people, including 6 boys and 3 girls, went to the confluence of the Wenlan River and the Beibu Gulf in Lingao County to play. At around 4 pm, 2 boys went into the water to play, and 1 of them accidentally drowned. Seeing their companions drowning, 4 boys on the shore quickly jumped into the water to help rescue them. As a result, 4 people unfortunately drowned, and 2 people successfully escaped and swam to shore. 3 of the 4 drowned people were students.

After the incident, the Lingao County Party Committee and County Government immediately organized rescue forces from all parties to go to the rescue. Local public security, fire and other departments quickly arrived at the scene and fully carried out rescue work. Search and rescue personnel took rafts and continued to search on the water.

In addition, relevant officials from the Hainan Provincial Emergency Management Department, the Provincial Education Department and other departments also rushed to the scene to carry out rescue command work.

According to the fire department involved in the rescue, they received a call from the public security department at 19:06 that day and rushed to the scene immediately. Due to the complex hydrological conditions in the sea area and many deep trenches, the search and rescue work was somewhat difficult. The fire rescue personnel used hooks and sonar instruments to search for the missing persons, and finally found the last missing person through divers searching in the sea. The search and rescue work was completed at around 5:00 on the 27th.

At present, all four drowning people have been found and none of them have any signs of life.

On the afternoon of June 25, seven teenagers went to play in the waters near the Xinjiang Shagang Bridge in Yugan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. Three children did not enter the water but played by the water. The other four children drowned. Rescue workers found the three children but unfortunately they had all died. Local rescue workers are also urgently searching for another missing person.

On June 27, the reporter learned from an interview that the missing child was found on the afternoon of June 26 and had unfortunately died.

On June 24, a boy drowned in Zhongjiang, Sichuan. Two people tried to rescue him, but all three died.

The police in Zhongjiang County, Deyang, Sichuan Province, issued a notice on the 25th: At about 21:10 on June 24, the command center of the Zhongjiang County Public Security Bureau in Deyang City, Sichuan Province received a report from the public that someone was drowning by the Kaijiang River outside the Nanmen Bus Station in Zhongjiang County. After the three drowning people were rescued to shore, the doctors tried their best to treat and diagnose them on the spot. All three had no vital signs. After preliminary investigation, after Leng Moujian (male, 12 years old) accidentally drowned, Leng Moumao (male, 58 years old) and Luo Mouhua (male, 37 years old) went into the water to rescue him, and the three people accidentally drowned one after another.

In addition, on June 22, three students went swimming in Guibeitan, Chaohu Lake, Anhui Province, and one of them drowned; on June 21, a 16-year-old boy drowned in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province; on June 19, several children accidentally fell into the water while playing by the water in Yongding River, Beijing, and three children were washed away by the current.
