After investigation, it was found that Chinese toon sprouts have been put on the market in Chongqing recently, and the price per catty is generally around 100 yuan, and some have reached 138 yuan per catty.

Toona sinensis sprouts can be stir-fried, mixed with cold food, deep-fried, dried and pickled. The bark, root bark and seeds can be used as medicine. China and a few countries such as Japan use Toona sinensis as a vegetable. Every 100 grams of fresh stems and leaves of Toona sinensis contains about 84 grams of water, about 9.8 grams of protein, 58 milligrams of vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, etc., and has a fragrant smell.

Toona sinensis is called "vegetables on trees" and is the young shoots of the Toona sinensis tree.
