During the test, Li Bing, deputy director of the office of the Second Brigade of the Zhengzhou Traffic Police, asked kindergarten teachers to sit in the driver's seat of a police SUV and put on blindfolds. Then, the traffic police guided 75 kindergarten children to stand in the blind spots around the vehicle.

After the children in front of the vehicle squatted on the ground, the teacher took off the blindfold. However, by looking around the vehicle and checking the rearview mirror, the teacher did not find any children.

Li Bing introduced that the wider and taller the vehicle is, the larger the blind spot is. In addition, the blind spot is larger when the vehicle is moving than when it is stationary.

Li Bing emphasized that drivers must develop the habit of walking around the vehicle before getting in. This can not only effectively detect obstacles in the vehicle's blind spots, but also observe the vehicle's own status, such as whether the tires are leaking, etc. In addition, when the vehicle is turning, the driver should try to move his body forward and backward so that he can see the status of the A-pillar blind spot clearly.

SUVs are taller than regular cars and have larger blind spots. Children entering the blind spots of vehicles or squatting beside them to play can easily cause traffic accidents. Lengthened and widened trucks have even larger blind spots.
