Desertification is a major global ecological problem that affects human survival and development, and is the main cause of sandstorm disasters. my country is one of the countries in the world with the largest desertification area, the largest affected population, and the most serious sandstorm hazards.

Since the 1970s, my country has launched a series of key ecological projects, including the construction of the Three Norths Shelterbelt System, the control of sandstorm sources in Beijing and Tianjin, the conversion of farmland to forest, the conversion of pasture to grassland, and the comprehensive control of soil erosion, to carry out centralized control of areas severely affected by desertification.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, my country has insisted on the integrated protection and systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts, and has achieved remarkable results in desertification prevention and control↓
