Did the US military once remove alien bodies from a flying saucer? What did the US Congressional UFO hearing say?

UFOs are trending again. This time, the protagonists are the U.S. Congress and former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch. On July 27, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee held a hearing on the UFO issue, and Grusch spoke at the hearing, "accusing the U.S. government of covering up its investigation and research."

Grush once worked at the U.S. Department of Defense, responsible for analyzing "unexplained anomalous phenomena" (UAP). He left in April 2023, and after leaving, he began to look for ways to break news. On June 5, he finally broke a lot of explosive news about aliens and alien spacecraft on the American technology news website Debrief. On July 27, there was actually nothing new added this time, except for one thing: he said it at a public hearing in the U.S. Congress.

At the hearing, Grush claimed that he was "absolutely" sure that the U.S. government had UFOs, saying that the U.S. government had conducted a program that lasted for decades to collect and try to reverse engineer crashed UFOs. He said that the U.S. government had hidden the remains of "non-human" pilots. However, after being questioned at the hearing, he admitted that this was information from others and that he had not seen aliens or alien spacecraft with his own eyes . He said that although he was in charge of related work, he still could not obtain access to some secret UFO projects, and that he had been retaliated against "very severely". He also said that he knew that some people were harmed because the U.S. government covered up UFO information, but avoided the question of whether anyone was "silenced."

The US Department of Defense denied his allegations. A spokesman for the Department of Defense said investigators had found "no verifiable information to support the claim that there has ever been or is any program in existence that possesses or reverse engineers materials of extraterrestrial origin."

In addition to Grush, two other military witnesses also spoke at the hearing. Former Navy officer David Fravor said he saw strange objects in the sky during a training mission in 2004. Retired Navy pilot Ryan Graves said that unexplained anomalies were seen on the Atlantic coast "every day for several years" and "found all over the world where the U.S. Navy is conducting missions," mainly manifested as "dark gray or black cubes in transparent spheres."

However, the two did not rule out the possibility that these objects were drones from other countries . Their previous positions were not as related to "mysterious affairs" as Grush's, and it seemed that they really knew some great secrets - so everyone was most concerned about Grush's testimony.

So, is his testimony credible?

The biggest problem, of course, is that now everything is based on his words, and there is not a single physical evidence that can be linked to his testimony . Of course, his defenders can always say "it involves state secrets and we can't say more", but the disclosure itself is "revealing secrets", and the division between what can and cannot be said seems quite arbitrary.

It is worth mentioning that one must be sworn in to testify before Congress. In fact, even without an oath, lying to Congress is a crime. Of course, there have been many clear cases in history where people lied to Congress after taking an oath, and some of them were not ultimately convicted. Considering that most lies are difficult to disprove, it is likely that there are far more cases of lying at congressional hearings than those mentioned above .

Putting aside the question of the consequences of lying, how credible is he based on his words? It seems difficult to judge just by looking at the content of his testimony to Congress, but as mentioned before, he did not suddenly reveal the news in Congress today, he had been promoting these remarks before. Comparing what he said before, some doubts will appear.

For example, in June, Grush told the US news media NewsNation that the US government has "very large, American football field-sized" alien spacecraft. In an interview with the French newspaper Le Parisien, he said the US government has a "bell-shaped spacecraft" that was recovered by Mussolini's government in northern Italy in 1933.

However, at the congressional hearing on July 27, he refused to elaborate on the above remarks, citing "national security" as the reason. The above remarks are very powerful, but they are also easily falsified. Grush's choice to carefully avoid this matter under oath in congressional testimony is quite delicate.

In addition, Grush initially tried to expose the information to several mainstream media, but was rejected. The first media to publish his information was a well-known UFO supporter, whose website had published a large amount of similar content. Before Grush, the website had also published several similar "high-ranking officials' revelations", but in the end, they all came to nothing .

If there are doubts, why is there a congressional hearing? Judging from public statements, most of the congressmen who presided over the hearing do not really believe these alien records, but many of them suspect that this may be an unintentional exposure of new military technology from other countries .

In addition, if Grush's revelations are true, it means that the US Department of Defense has abused funds and carried out projects that are not authorized and supervised by Congress. This is a serious dereliction of duty. Some congressmen have expressed their intention to promote relevant legislation and continue to hold more confidential hearings. It is probably impossible to know whether Grush will reveal more valuable information in confidential occasions.
