It would be acceptable if there were many walls, after all, if electromagnetic waves can't pass through them, they can "go around" them. But bathrooms usually have only one door, and unless you leave the door open, there is no way for the signal to go around.

How to improve the WiFi signal in the bathroom

If you want to improve the WiFi signal strength in the bathroom, you can start with the placement of the router. Because the principle of the router is to send signals to all directions, we can place the router in a place with few walls and obstacles or in the center of the house. Let every place in the house be "evenly affected" by the signal.

For routers equipped with antennas, we can also adjust the antenna angle according to actual conditions.

Secondly, the wall penetration ability of the router is closely related to factors such as the router's transmission power and antenna gain. When we buy a router, we can check the router's usage parameters and purchase it on demand.

If you use a dual-band router (2.4GHz and 5GHz) at home, you can connect to a more suitable WiFi according to the situation.

2.4GHz WiFi

It has a longer transmission capability and is able to penetrate obstacles more easily, making it suitable for connections over longer distances.

5GHz WiFi

The coverage distance is shorter, but the network speed is faster, which is suitable for close-range connections.

If your home is large or the environment is complex, a single router cannot meet your needs. You can choose FTTR (fiber to the room) networking mode, which allows the optical fiber to pass directly into the room like an electric wire, and easily achieve high-speed network coverage throughout the house.
