According to the Shanghai Fengxian District Fire Rescue Brigade, at about 16:34 on April 4, a woman in her thirties got stuck in an escalator while taking the escalator upstairs in a supermarket on Xiaotang Road, Fengxian District. Due to the sudden malfunction of the escalator and the complex internal structure, the firefighters rushed to the scene and carried out an intense rescue operation for more than 30 minutes before successfully rescuing the woman and sending her to the hospital.
