On the morning of August 15, the American technology information website CNET reported that the invitation sent by Motorola Mobility today showed that the company may officially launch the Moto 360 smartwatch at the press conference held in Chicago on September 4. In addition, the invitation also came with icons of G and X smartphones and an audio accessory, indicating that Moto X and Moto G will also be upgraded simultaneously, and a Bluetooth headset may be released. A Motorola Mobility spokesperson confirmed that multiple products will indeed be launched at this conference. Motorola Mobility, which is still a subsidiary of Google but will soon be part of Lenovo, has had some well-received products recently: the Moto X was praised for its clean interface and predictive features, while the Moto G was a low-priced but powerful phone. The Moto 360 was noted for its unique shape, with a round dial and high-end materials that set it apart from the rest. When the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch smartwatches were announced at Google I/O, developers cheered, but when they heard that the Moto 360 wasn't coming out right away, they groaned even louder, indicating just how much attention this product was getting. However, Motorola's event comes at a busy time for product launches. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 4, virtual reality headsets and a new smartwatch the day before, and Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6 a week later, on September 9. While the Moto 360 has a unique look, it's still powered by Android Wear, like every other smartwatch on the market, so the user interface will likely be similar to what's available from Samsung and LG.
