On August 27, at the first China Smart TV Industry Development Summit hosted by , LeTV Smart Terminal Business Group CMO Peng Gang delivered a keynote speech entitled "Empowering People in the Smart "Hard" Era", in which he discussed the product research and development characteristics of the smart hardware 2.0 era.

Peng Gang said, "In the field of smart TV research and development, user experience and needs always come first. As the smart TV industry becomes more and more numerous and richer, LeTV Super TV wants to provide a thousand machines, a thousand faces, a thousand families, and a thousand contents."

According to Peng Gang, the product content developed by LeTV Super TV is a full-service customization based on user experience and user interests. When users complained that the operation of smart TV was too complicated, LeTV Super TV simplified the complexity of operation through multiple service contents. He also believes that the essence of smart TV services is to maximize the value of users and large-screen devices.

At the beginning of the development of the smart TV industry, the 2.0 era of smart hardware is an era of creating self-learning devices, users creating exclusive products, and letting devices grow on their own. Good smart hardware should follow this principle. The birth of LeTV Super TV is a model of a perfect balance between hardware, software, and content.

In addition, the LeTV ecosystem provided to users by LeTV TV is also a large-screen ecosystem that perfectly combines UI interaction system and content, software and hardware performance.

It is reported that the future development direction of LeTV Super TV will be to continuously create more extended products in the entire system. The first is content service, that is, on large-screen devices, using users' sharing methods to build their social circles. The ultimate goal of content is to learn users' habits, recommend users' favorites, and finally become exclusive to users.

Peng Gang said that good smart devices all have learning personalities. Smart products with learning personalities must learn by themselves and do not need any instructions. The second is to make LeTV Super TV into a dedicated machine, that is, to make additions, subtractions and changes based on the carriers of different users, the needs of different families, and user habits, and customize it into a dedicated machine with background content.

The latest monitoring report released by third-party market research organization iiMedia Research shows that from January to April 2014, LeTV TV Super TV's full range of products continued to maintain its sales champion among TVs of the same size and model. In April alone, sales reached more than 150,000 units, an increase of 20% compared with March.

LeTV TV Super TV's profit model, which uses hardware as a carrier and content and services as the core, will become the development trend of the "Smart TV 2.0 era", and the traditional way of relying on hardware sales to support revenue seems outdated. LeTV hopes to continue to pioneer and lead the smart TV business model in the future.
