Xiaomi TV is competing with foreign brands this time

At the launch conference of Xiaomi TV 2S, Lei Jun also said that Sony did a good job and should be compared with it.

The 48-inch Xiaomi TV 2S, priced at 2,999 yuan, is 9.9mm thick and uses a two-color anodized all-aluminum alloy frame. The back cover of the TV is also made of metal. The TV is equipped with a new "pocket" plug jointly developed by Xiaomi and supplier Volex.

In terms of hardware, Xiaomi 2S uses an original Samsung panel with a resolution of 4K (3840×2160), a response speed of 8 milliseconds, a static contrast ratio of 4000:1, supports lossless transmission of YUV signals and 4K point-to-point lossless display, and uses MACE-Pro4 UC+ and KSF Phosphor LED high color saturation technology for the image quality engine. The processor uses MStar 6A928, Cortex-A17 quad-core, and a main frequency of 1.4GHz; the integrated GPU uses ARM's Mali-760 MP4, 4+2 cores, and a frequency of 552MHz. It is also equipped with 2GB DDR3 memory and 8GB eMMC storage.

At the press conference, Lei Jun said that Xiaomi TV is slightly better than Sony, Samsung and Sharp in terms of appearance, craftsmanship, picture quality, sound, performance and content. From the experience after the press conference, Xiaomi TV is indeed slightly better than the same-sized TVs of these three brands in terms of intuitive display performance.

Xiaomi TV 2S is a good product at the price of 2999. The only complaint is the size of the TV. After the release of the 40-inch Xiaomi TV 2, Xiaomi seems to have caught the taste of its target users. The small size, high performance and low price are exactly what young people need.

But for other users with living rooms, 48 ​​inches is indeed a bit small, but the on-site staff revealed that "other sizes will be launched in the future."

Xiaomi challenges Sony in TV gaming consoles

In addition to challenging Sony in the field of television, Sony's game consoles have also become Xiaomi's object of competition. The description of "GPU performance perfectly exceeds SONY PS3 game console" shows Xiaomi TV's pursuit of gaming performance.

After the press conference, a TV game CP said, "Hardware performance is getting stronger and stronger, while prices are getting lower and lower. MStar 6A928 runs our games at 1080p with anti-aliasing, very smoothly. To play casual TV games, you really don't need to buy a game console."

This also reflects one of the reasons why the sales of domestic game consoles are bleak. In China, most TV users are not hard box players.
