Overall performance of the new energy passenger vehicle market

• In April, the sales volume of the new energy market was about 168,000 vehicles, an increase of 203.4% year-on-year, far exceeding the growth of the passenger car market;
• In April, sales in the new energy market accounted for 10.2% of total passenger car sales, up 6.3% from the same period last year.
• In April, pure electric vehicle sales were approximately 136,000 units, up 240.2% year-on-year and down 14.8% month-on-month; plug-in hybrid vehicle sales were approximately 32,000 units, up 107.7% year-on-year and up 8.3% month-on-month.
• In 2021, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles reached 601,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 270.5%.

• On April 9, Xpeng Motors and the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee officially signed the "Xpeng Motors Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Manufacturing Base and R&D Center Project Investment Agreement"
• On April 29, the Hefei Xinqiao Intelligent Electric Vehicle Industrial Park (referred to as Hefei Xinqiao Industrial Park), jointly built by NIO and the Hefei Municipal Government, started construction.

Big news for new energy enterprises: Nezha Auto launches 3 billion yuan D round of financing, with 360 leading the way in car manufacturing

• On April 26, Nezha Auto announced the launch of its Series D financing with a financing amount of approximately 3 billion yuan. Leading Internet security company 360 strategically led this round of financing. After completing all investments, 360 is expected to become the third largest shareholder of Nezha Auto.

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: 2021 Fourth Batch of New Energy Vehicle Recommended Catalog

• On April 30, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the fourth batch of recommended new energy vehicle catalogues for 2021. A total of 225 new energy vehicle models were selected, including 183 new energy models that meet the 2021 product technical requirements, 42 other new energy models, and 43 new energy passenger car models.
