●Scientists have found that from 1939 to 2010, climate warming led to an accelerated renewal rate of alpine shrubs of the genus Willow on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The shrub line of the genus Willow rose significantly, with the maximum rise of 59.3 meters. In the past 10 years, the renewal rate of alpine shrubs of the genus Willow has been declining, and the shrub line tends to remain static. The relevant results were recently published in the international academic journal Ecological Geography. (Source: Xinhua News Agency)

●Recently, Tree Physiology published online the latest results of Zhou Zhichun's research team from the Institute of Subtropical Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry. They cloned and identified the geranyl pyrophosphate synthase gene (PmGPPS1) in the highly resistant Masson pine for the first time, and analyzed the regulatory role of PmGPPS1 in the process of highly resistant Masson pine resisting pine wilt disease. The research results provide new ideas for the green prevention and control of pine wilt disease, and also provide new ways to promote plant leaf growth. (Source: China Science Daily)
