Audi predicts that the way cars are manufactured will undergo major changes in the next 10 years. Methods such as automated transmission of parts will herald the end of the era of traditional production lines, and traditional car manufacturing will be replaced by a new modular assembly method. This change will be a major change in the automotive industry, following the pioneering of assembly line production of Ford's Model T a century ago. Modular systems will be introduced in the production of Lamborghini Urus in Italy. According to Audi officials, the main shift from production lines to modular blocks will happen in the next 10 years. Audi said that as the number of models becomes richer and process control becomes more complex, the traditional assembly line will eventually end. The trend of modularization is also accelerating under the impetus of the electrification of powertrains. Audi will break the assembly line model and divide the assembly into individual work areas, with 1 to 2 employees in each area. Audi said their workload can be better managed and can operate at a stable and continuous speed without adjusting activities according to the speed of the production line.
