First, let's look at the ES8's data. With a 70 kWh battery pack, it has a total output of 650 horsepower, a peak torque of 840 Nm, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. This acceleration performance is already the same as that of the Porsche 911 (2016 Carrera), which has a starting price of 1.318 million yuan.

The cheapest four-wheel drive version of Highlander, which is also a seven-seater SUV, has an official guide price of 258,800 yuan. So the appearance of ES8 has indeed shocked many traditional car manufacturers.


Moreover, with NIO’s product line, from the earliest EP9 to the current ES8, it is not difficult to predict that NIO will have more affordable models while maintaining a very high "price-performance ratio".


The car is indeed facing a major change, becoming faster, cheaper, and less noticeable. Based on what we know about the ES8, judging from the data alone, it is definitely a good car, and it is a great value for money compared to most cars on the market. If it succeeds, it will definitely bring a wave of rhythm. After all, electric motors are simpler and cheaper than internal combustion engines , and their working principle brings ample space and better NVH.


In addition, some emerging manufacturers can avoid the internal combustion engine technology patents controlled by many leading automobile manufacturers. Weilai's battery replacement and fast charging modes have also solved many of the shortcomings faced by current electric vehicles, and the graphene batteries that are still in the conceptual stage are also ready to blossom.

In short, traditional cars have been around for hundreds of years and are almost at the end of their life.
