At the meeting, Shi Wenyong, founder and chairman of Wangqin, gave a wonderful speech on the theme of the conference and boldly predicted that in the next ten years, smart cars will be as popular as smart phones today, and the penetration rate will reach 90% in seven to ten years, becoming a new generation of intelligent infrastructure.

From the perspective of the development of the entire industry, the rise of the smart car industry is especially similar to the launch of the iPhone in 2007, which truly ushered people into the era of mobile Internet. For example, today, Tesla, which is also a symbol of the automotive industry, seems to be quite advanced in terms of technology, but in fact, in terms of industrial progress, Tesla is more like a product like BlackBerry in the mobile field, just an early product. With the continuous emergence of electric vehicles like Tesla, the manufacturing cost has dropped rapidly, which has lowered the threshold for car manufacturing. But the future of cars will enter the next stage in the field of intelligence, such as autonomous driving and virtual services. In fact, the popularity of electric vehicles has determined the shift in the focus of innovation-driven development in the current automotive industry. In the past, several major car manufacturers relied on engine iteration to lead the industrial revolution. The engine is a very high threshold and core barrier in traditional cars. In the future, cars will also use CPU as a computing unit like mobile phones and computers, and drive the development and innovation of the automotive industry through the virtual services of intelligent programs. At this time, car manufacturers will pay more attention to differentiation and attract people through intelligent services, rather than simply focusing on the engine and configuration when buying a car.

With the participation of a group of leaders in the automotive and mobile Internet industries, brands including Intel, Qualcomm, Volkswagen, Ford, Facebook, Google and Apple are making various arrangements related to the future smart car revolution. Whether it is traditional auto shows or IT companies, they have all turned their attention to this field. Just as the iPhone laid the foundation for the arrival of the smartphone era, only things at the infrastructure level can truly subvert the entire industry. As a basic and necessary means of transportation, it is undeniable that the pace of intelligence is undoubtedly gradually approaching our daily lives.

Focus on providing a complete set of open intelligent solutions to create a win-win and mutually beneficial ecosystem

When NetQin started its mobile security business in the early days of its founding, it did not choose to expand vertically along the security path, but rather expanded horizontally along the mobile path. As the number of businesses involved increased, it also had different focuses at different stages. By splitting off its gaming and live broadcasting businesses, NetQin can invest more in areas related to smart cars. In an interview, Shi Wenyong mentioned: "After NetQin's IPO in 2011, it expanded a lot of its mobile businesses. In the next ten years, NetQin may pay more attention to the smart car platform and services.

In NetQin's view, the reason for the decision to make a major adjustment and transformation this time is that this will be the next big industry opportunity, which may be bigger than the vents that everyone is used to. This industry opportunity will reshape or reconstruct the entire industry chain when the number of cars in the world reaches 600 million to 700 million.

On the basis of such transformation, NetQin has also positioned itself relatively uniquely. Shi Wenyong said: "We don't build cars. We help car manufacturers realize their intelligence and provide excellent services to users. This fundamentally solves the concerns of car manufacturers becoming service entrances and Internet pipelines. And as an independent third party, first, technological innovation, second, finding the right industry entry point, and third, comprehensive win-win cooperation. Helping car manufacturers realize intelligent positioning and establish a win-win and mutually beneficial ecosystem is the original intention of NetQin's transformation."

The steady progress of the smart car industry still needs to face the traffic network and other dimensions to promote development. NetQin is currently investing in smart cars, hoping to focus on smart cars rather than everything related to smart transportation. But its vision is also to make cars no longer a mass consumer product, so that people no longer drive for brand preference or status symbol.
