The outbreak of the epidemic is undoubtedly a disaster for the already sluggish auto market. However, just when almost all auto brands were counting their losses in the first half of the year, Hongqi, a domestic high-end brand, announced good sales results.

Recently, Hongqi brand officially announced that its sales in May exceeded 15,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 133%; its sales from January to May exceeded 54,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 116%. Judging from the published sales data alone, the cold winter of the Chinese auto market does not seem to have much impact on Hongqi. Compared with other domestic brands, Hongqi's counter-trend growth can be said to be unique.

Specifically, there are currently 5 models on sale under Hongqi, namely H5, H7, E-HS3, HS5, and HS7. According to the current official statement, Hongqi H5 has become Hongqi's absolute main sales model.

It is worth noting that although Hongqi H5 has achieved good results, it is the HS5 launched last year that really made Hongqi achieve a breakthrough in sales. It is noted that although HS5 has not carried out large-scale promotional activities since its launch, its sales volume has increased by more than 100% year-on-year, which shows its good reputation among users.

In addition, thanks to Hongqi's efforts in brand building and product layout in recent years, its high-end brand image has been initially established. Even the new flagship sedan H9, which will be officially launched this month, has been dubbed the Chinese version of "Rolls-Royce" by many netizens.
