According to Elon Musk, the reason why Tesla wanted to sell to Apple was because it was in the "darkest days of the Model 3 project". According to Tesla's product update rhythm, this should be around 2017. Some media broke the news that although Tesla Model 3 was about to be mass-produced, it was under great pressure due to cash flow, and "Tesla was only one month away from bankruptcy."

Although Apple rejected Tesla, it does not mean that Apple will not touch the new energy vehicle business.
