The world is entering the era of electrification, and China is leading the development of the electric vehicle market. In terms of technology, major manufacturers have launched pure battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and 48-volt mild hybrid systems. Although the development paths of automobile companies in various regions and countries for new energy are different, the penalties imposed by countries around the world on the environment are surprisingly consistent, that is, if automobile manufacturers do not reduce carbon dioxide, they must pay huge fines. In Europe, strict laws have been enacted, requiring 95g/km by 2021 and 81g/km by 2025. Automakers that fail to meet this target will face billions of euros in fines. If the current powertrain standards of major automakers are followed, if the requirements are not met by 2025, it is expected that Volkswagen will face at least 6.3 billion euros in fines, Hyundai Kia will face more than 4 billion euros, FCA will face more than 3.2 billion euros, Ford will face 2.7 billion euros, and Renault will face 2.1 billion euros in fines. From the perspective of automakers, the real purpose of producing new energy vehicles is to meet the emission requirements stipulated by law, not necessarily to make good cars. Therefore, in the early stages of the development of new energy vehicles, the quality of new energy vehicles is mixed. However, the general trend of new energy vehicles will not change. The market share of battery electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles is expected to reach 30% or 40% by 2030. In addition, the share of plug-in hybrid vehicles and hybrid vehicles is expected to reach one-third of the total number of vehicles. Here, 48-volt mild hybrids are becoming mainstream. In other words, this means that the proportion of vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines alone will drop to 20-30%. In particular, diesel engines will almost lose their prospects of existence by around 2030. In Europe, the proportion of mild/micro hybrid vehicles is expected to reach 50%. There are differences in the views of electric vehicle manufacturers. European manufacturers are now actively applying plug-in hybrids and 48-volt mild hybrids to cars. Therefore, European manufacturers plan to respond to regulations and reduce costs through 48-volt mild hybrid systems. In contrast, China is actively promoting the development of electric vehicles from the government level. China formulated a medium- and long-term development plan for the automotive industry in 2017, with the goal of becoming an automotive power by 2025 and becoming a world top 10 manufacturer (BEV + PHEV + FCEV) based on the development of new energy vehicle components such as batteries and motors for new energy vehicles in the next 10 years. It is not easy to ensure competitiveness in the world market for traditional internal combustion engines, so it is not only to increase China's market share through new energy vehicles, but also to consider future export policies. It is important to note that the overall goal of China's long-term policy for the automotive industry is to create several world-class giants in the fields of core automotive technology and parts supply, new business creation, generation, automotive exports, environmental protection, etc. Cultivate the world's top ten new energy vehicle manufacturers by 2020, and strive to cultivate internationally competitive parts manufacturers in key technology areas such as powertrain, transmission, battery and motor, and in parts supply, and actively develop areas that are not currently competitive, such as sensors, ECUs, lightweight materials and advanced manufacturing facilities. Cultivate parts manufacturers with sales of RMB 100 billion by 2020 and enter the world's top 10 by 2025. To strengthen its brand influence, China plans to cultivate a leading company in the field of new energy vehicles and create several brands that can be promoted globally by 2020. By 2025, it aims to enter the top 10 in the world through sales. By 2020, the fuel efficiency of ordinary cars will be increased to 4.5 to 5.0 liters per 100 kilometers, and by 2025, the target will be increased to 4.0 liters. The recycling rate of cars is also maintained at 95%. China is implementing new energy vehicle regulations starting in 2019, with the goal of developing fuel economy levels similar to those in Europe (108 g/km in 2021 and 92 g/km in 2025). The problem is that, with the exception of BYD, which is focusing on battery-powered vehicles, Chinese automakers must improve their fuel economy by 30-40% by 2025. Therefore, most companies must mobilize. China is the biggest weapon in the market. No country has ever had a population of 1.5 billion and huge demand. As long as there are no natural disasters, China will surpass Germany, and the United States. Become the global leader in new energy vehicles. In order to achieve this goal, China has attached great importance to the status of new energy vehicles. In the near future, global consumers will buy Chinese cars as well as computers, home appliances and smartphones.
