Infrastructure operation status

1. Operation of public charging infrastructure: In July 2022, the number of public charging piles increased by 47,000 compared with June, a year-on-year increase of 65.7%. As of July 2022, the member units of the alliance reported a total of 1.575 million public charging piles, including 684,000 DC charging piles, 890,000 AC charging piles, and 485 AC/DC integrated charging piles. From August 2021 to July 2022, the average monthly increase in public charging piles was about 52,000.

2. The operation of public charging infrastructure in provinces, regions and cities. The public charging piles built in the top 10 regions of Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beijing, Hubei, Shandong, Anhui, Henan and Fujian account for 71.7%. The national charging power is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanghai, Hubei Province, Hunan Province and other provinces. The power flow is mainly to buses and passenger cars, and other types of vehicles such as sanitation logistics vehicles and taxis account for a small proportion. In July 2022, the total charging power in the country was about 2.19 billion kWh, an increase of 260 million kWh from the previous month, a year-on-year increase of 125.2% and a month-on-month increase of 13.7%.

3. Operation of public charging infrastructure operators. As of July 2022, the top 15 charging piles operated by charging operators nationwide are: Teladian operates 295,000, Xingxing Charging operates 293,000, State Grid operates 196,000, Yunkuai Charging operates 196,000, China Southern Power Grid operates 95,000, Xiaoju Charging operates 80,000, Weijingyun operates 55,000, Shenzhen Car Power Network operates 53,000, Yiwi Energy operates 38,000, Hui Charging operates 37,000, Wancheng Wanchong operates 35,000, SAIC Anyue operates 24,000, Wanma Ai Charging operates 24,000, China Putian operates 21,000, and Weilan Fast Charging operates 15,000. These 15 operators account for 92.5% of the total, and the remaining operators account for 7.5% of the total.

4. Overall operation of charging infrastructure: From January to July 2022, the number of charging infrastructure increased by 1.362 million units, of which the number of public charging piles increased by 199.2% year-on-year, and the number of private charging piles installed on vehicles continued to rise, up 390.1% year-on-year. As of July 2022, the total number of charging infrastructure nationwide was 3.980 million units, an increase of 97.5% year-on-year.

5. Comparison between charging infrastructure and electric vehicles: From January to July 2022, the increase in charging infrastructure was 1.362 million units, and the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 3.194 million units. The charging infrastructure and new energy vehicles continued to grow explosively. The increase ratio of charging piles to vehicles was 1:2.3, and the construction of charging infrastructure can basically meet the rapid development of new energy vehicles.
