NIO reports third-quarter net loss narrows

Just now, NIO released its third-quarter financial report for 2023. NIO's revenue in the third quarter was 19.07 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 117.4% and a year-on-year increase of 46.6%, setting a record high.

The gross profit margin of the whole vehicle was 11.0%, a significant increase from the previous quarter; cash reserves were 45.2 billion yuan, an increase of 13.7 billion yuan from the previous quarter; the net loss was significantly narrowed, down 24.8% from the previous quarter; R&D expenditure was 3.04 billion yuan, exceeding 3 billion yuan for four consecutive quarters.

In terms of delivery volume, the third quarter delivery volume was 55,432 units, a month-on-month increase of 135.7% and a year-on-year increase of 75.4%, setting a new record; and in terms of the delivery data just released in November, a total of 15,959 new cars were delivered, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%. At present, NIO has delivered a total of 431,582 new cars.

On December 4, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's vehicle manufacturing enterprise credit information management system showed that the company's production address was No. 299, Baita Road, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hefei City, Anhui Province, and the legal representative was Qin Lihong.

In addition, on November 21 and 29, NIO signed battery swap cooperation agreements with Changan Automobile and Geely Holding respectively. Next, NIO will continue to promote battery swap cooperation with automakers. It can be said that NIO has made many big moves at the end of the year, especially after obtaining independent car manufacturing qualifications, which is more beneficial for NIO and brand development.
