Its first MPV, BYD D9, has become the fastest Chinese new energy luxury model to deliver 100,000 mass-produced vehicles in just 11 months, breaking the industry record, thanks to its five luxury features of "design, ride, intelligence, driving, and safety" and its all-round strength in being suitable for both home and business use. As of early December 2023, BYD D9 has been the sales champion of luxury MPVs above 300,000 for 11 consecutive months, and is expected to become the cumulative sales champion of MPVs in 2023.

It is worth mentioning that the D9 has both high volume and low price, with an average sales price of over RMB 420,000, which is the No.1 in terms of unit price among Chinese brands. At the same time, its value retention rate is also the No.1 in the one-year value retention rate of new energy MPVs, setting a new value benchmark for the luxury MPV market. In addition to being well-recognized by mainstream families, the D9 is also the best choice for many elites of the era, including national actress Hai Qing, well-known host Yang Lan, and powerful entrepreneur Cao Hui.
