Chery Automobile's premium brand Xingtu joins hands with Mobileye and Bethel ADAS to launch the first cloud-enhanced driver assistance system in China

January 15, 2024, Wuhu, Anhui - Chery Automobile's high-end brand Xingtu Automobile announced today that it will become the first automaker in China to launch Mobileye's cloud-enhanced driver assistance system. Xingtu Automobile has teamed up with Mobileye (NASDAQ: MBLY) and Bethel ADAS to mass-produce this technology for the first time on the Xingtu Lanyue model.

The Xingtu Lanyue model equipped with the cloud-enhanced driving assistance system can continuously update the vehicle to cope with various driving scenarios. This system performs particularly well in challenging driving scenarios, such as poor visibility or complex traffic conditions, fully demonstrating the Chery/Xingtu brand's commitment to safety and technological innovation.

“The mass production of the Xingtu Lanyue model equipped with Mobileye’s cloud-enhanced driving assistance technology is a major leap forward for Chery,” said Dr. Gao Jiabing, Assistant General Manager and Head of Autonomous Driving Technology at Chery Automobile. “The collaboration with Mobileye and Bethel ADAS underscores our determination to set new standards in automotive safety and technological advancement.”

Cloud-enhanced driver assistance features make full use of Mobileye's REM™ technology and are scheduled to be launched in February 2024 and cover more than 37 cities in China in the first quarter of 2024, and will soon reach large areas across the country. It enables some unique driver assistance features, such as lane keeping on roads without lane lines, which can be adapted according to the applicable driving speed, etc.

Elie Luskin, Vice President and Managing Director of Mobileye China, said: “It is an important milestone to launch our cloud-enhanced driver assistance technology for the first time in China with Chery/Xingtu. Chery/Xingtu’s focus on safety and its influence in domestic and international markets are a perfect match for Mobileye’s user-based technology development, which can provide a unified solution for different regions. The application of Mobileye REM™ technology in Chery/Xingtu models will not only improve driver safety, but also contribute to overall road safety.”
