Prosecutors reveal the "four crimes" of Alipay fraud
With the increasing number of Alipay users, criminal activities targeting mobile Alipay are frequent. Due to the novel forms of crime, concealed means and rapid money transfer, it brings security risks to Alipay users. Recently, prosecutors from Chaoyang Procuratorate revealed four criminal methods of this type of crime and reminded users to keep their Alipay accounts safe. Method 1: Borrowing a mobile phone to change the password Feng borrowed Li's mobile phone that had been bound to Alipay and remembered the other party's ID number. After that, Feng entered Li's Alipay account on the computer, chose to change the password, and received the verification code through Li's mobile phone. He then correctly entered Li's ID number online. Feng successfully changed the password, logged into Li's Alipay and transferred 6,000 yuan. It was not until he received a text message reminder from the bank that Li realized that his Alipay account had been stolen. Method 2: Reissue SIM card mobile phone transfer Mr. Dan's mobile phone had no signal for many consecutive days. A few days later, he found that the SIM card had been invalidated and a new card had been issued. His Alipay and Taobao account passwords were modified, and more than 65,000 yuan in Alipay and 2,000 yuan in the bound bank card were stolen. After being arrested, Lin and Huang confessed that they bought a large amount of Alipay account and password information through the Internet, and 300 of the 10,000 account and password could be matched. After obtaining the Alipay account and password, they would log in to the relevant account, buy virtual items, and then sell them to the outside for cash. Lin queried the user's real name, ID number and bound mobile phone number based on the Alipay account. Huang used this real information to apply for a fake ID card, went to the bank and mobile phone business hall to apply for a bank card and SIM card in the name of the victim, and then used Alipay to transfer the money in the victim's bound bank card. Method 3: Theft by exploiting audit loopholes Zhang and Liu, who opened a store on Taobao, found that when changing the Alipay username and password of the online store, they only needed to submit the electronic business license to the Alipay customer service online. The customer service did not strictly review the electronic business license and it was easy to pass. After discovering the loophole, the two used PS technology to forge the electronic business licenses of other companies, apply for password changes, control accounts, and steal funds. Since October last year, Zhang and his accomplices have stolen more than 200,000 yuan from multiple companies through this method. Method 4: Impersonating customer service to obtain verification codes In some cases, the victim received unfamiliar files, which led to computer poisoning and account theft. A buyer shopped on Taobao.com, but after paying, the page still showed "waiting for buyer to pay." Online banking records showed that the money had been remitted. Alipay staff found that such consumers clicked on the "baby enlargement picture" file sent by the seller when communicating with the seller. This file is actually a Trojan virus. Some victims searched for fake Alipay websites and were asked for passwords by "customer service", resulting in account theft. When the victim modified the payment limit of Alipay, he casually searched for "Alipay customer service" on the Internet. The page showed "upgrading" and gave the corresponding "customer service phone number". The consumer modified the limit according to the operator's prompts and provided the account number and password, and then found that the money in the account had been stolen. The prosecutor reminded that keeping personal mobile phones and numbers safe is an effective way to prevent money from being transferred. In addition, Alipay users should set a payment password with a high security factor and not disclose Alipay account, password, verification code and other information. When using Alipay with mobile phones, computers and other terminals, try not to save account names and passwords to prevent loss or trojans from endangering the safety of funds. If the mobile phone bound to Alipay is lost or suddenly malfunctions, go to the business hall in time to reissue the SIM card and freeze the bound Alipay account. If you encounter a reminder that the buyer is waiting for payment after the payment is successful, be vigilant to avoid repeated payments and being defrauded of money by criminals.
