Zou Xueyong believes that for new mobile phone number segments such as 170, commonly known as "network passes", users must be authenticated by the databases of banks, websites and other institutions or enterprises before they can register and handle business conveniently and quickly, and obtain identification content such as text messages. Every time the communications industry releases a new number segment, it needs to complete a "network pass" authentication or partial data registration work. Zou Xueyong said that in terms of signals, there is no difference between virtual operators and the three major operators, and the problem occurs because some software and systems do not recognize it. At present, the mobile software of Tencent and 360 can already recognize the 170 number segment. In addition, according to Zou Xueyong, some fixed-line phones in the north will display a prompt "There is no such phone number" when dialing the 170 number. The fixed system also needs to carry out fixed-mobile convergence to connect the data. Another problem faced by virtual operators is that the customer service phone cannot be dialed. Beijing Morning Post reporters learned that in addition to the fact that 360 and other software did not recognize the number of the virtual operator 100××, which caused users to be unable to dial the customer service phone, the virtual operator's own customer service phone system has not been built. After Beijing Morning Post reporters tried to dial all the currently announced virtual operator customer service hotlines from 10020 to 10040 yesterday afternoon, they found that only Ali Communication 10029, Lianlian Technology 10030, and Share Online 10039 could be dialed. Other numbers were prompted as "empty numbers" when dialed from mobile phones, and the prompt for dialing from Beijing landlines was "number does not exist". Are virtual operators really "unreliable"? Zou Xueyong said that the customer service phone problem is the most urgent thing for virtual operators at present. If users feel that virtual operators are "unreliable", it will endanger the survival of the entire industry. Why haven't virtual operators, which have been making a big fuss about it, even set up customer service yet? Zou Xueyong told reporters that the customer service number may seem simple, but it is actually very complicated to operate. Before virtual operators activate the number across the country, they must first contact the headquarters of the relevant operator to discuss the number activation issue; then, they need to register with the Communications Administration Bureau of each province; after obtaining the registration notice from the local Communications Administration Bureau, they can contact the relevant local telecommunications companies to form a national customer service phone number. In Zou Xueyong's view, in addition to the various discomforts of "not adapting to the local environment", the newborn virtual operators are also prone to disappointment in user expectations due to excessive publicity gimmicks, which will cause doubts about the entire 170 number segment.
