China Mobile's 4G construction will still be amazing next year: plans to build 300,000 base stations

Regarding the industry rumor that "China Mobile will end large-scale investment in 4G next year", an insider revealed that China Mobile will not stop large-scale construction of 4G next year. On the contrary, China Mobile will build 300,000 base stations next year, bringing the total number of base stations to 1 million.

So far, China Mobile has actually exceeded its 4G user development goals and 4G base station plan. In October, China Mobile's monthly 4G user growth was 13.5 million, and it has already achieved its annual target of 50 million two months ahead of schedule. China Mobile will actually develop 70 million 4G users and build 700,000 4G base stations by the end of this year.

It is reported that China Mobile's goal for next year is to have more than 1 million 4G base stations, hoping to continue to lead its competitors in terms of network scale and number of users. Rural coverage and indoor coverage are two key points.

The reason why we started to vigorously cover indoor areas is that according to ITU statistics, 70% of mobile communications and 80% of data services are conducted indoors. It can be said that whoever wins the indoor wireless network market wins the world.

However, in the 4G era, deep indoor coverage is a difficult point in LTE construction. The indoor scene is very complex, the 4G frequency band is high, and the free space loss, penetration loss, and feeder loss are all increased, which is not conducive to deep indoor coverage.
