360's new phone will adopt a borderless design, OPPO may be the first to ship

According to information on the website of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, Yulong Coolpad has applied for a patent for mobile phone borderless technology. Smartphones using this patent will be able to achieve a borderless visual effect and have a larger screen-to-body ratio than current narrow-border mobile phones.

According to industry insiders, this patent will be applied to the new generation of smartphones jointly launched by Qihoo 360 and Yulong Coolpad, which means that the new 360 phone will have a borderless visual effect.

On March 30, the official forum of 360 mobile phone was officially launched. It is reported that 360 will first launch 360 OS based on Coolpad CoolUI, and the new mobile phone is expected to be released in the third quarter.

Interestingly, with Samsung launching the Galaxy S6, a dual-curved screen phone, this year, domestic mobile phone companies that do not have an advantage in the core supply chain have begun to work with Sharp and other companies to intensively launch borderless phones. According to previously exposed news, the flagship version of the "super phone" launched by LeTV on April 14, as well as the new flagship phones to be launched by OPPO and ZTE Nubia, will all adopt a borderless design.
