Microsoft Spartan Browser Benchmark: A Qualitative Leap

Although the current Spartan browser is not yet perfect in terms of functionality, there is no doubt that it will take over the position of the previous IE browser in the Windows 10 system.

So, how does Microsoft's new browser perform? Foreign media brought us some running scores.

In Octane 2.0, Spartan browser received a rating of 32,000 points, Chrome 42 (64-bit) scored 30,000, and FireFox Nightly scored 27,000. The IE11 browser in Windows 8.1 only received a rating of 17,000 points.

At the same time, in the HTML5 project test, which is considered to be the future trend of Web development, Spartan browser scored 400 points (out of 555), far ahead of IE11's 336 points.

From this point of view, Spartan browser can be said to have made a qualitative leap compared to IE browser. However, compared with other browsers, its advantage is not obvious, especially in the HTML5 project, where Google Chrome browser scored as high as 535 points.

Unfortunately, we don't know yet what Spartan's OpenGL performance is like.

In any case, the outside world's evaluation of Spartan Browser is still mostly positive so far. I believe that in the next few months, Microsoft will make more improvements and optimizations to its functions and performance.
