Redmi Pro vs Meizu E review

Having the three major series of Meizu Blue, MX and Pro is obviously not enough. Meizu will further segment the Meizu Blue product line that targets the thousand-yuan market.

The newly released Meizu E is the Meizu phone with the highest starting price ever. Its so-called "ten thousand yuan level" quality also vaguely aims at the recently released Redmi Pro. However, compared to Lei Jun who has invited three celebrities to endorse the product, Meizu E focuses more on challenging its competitors with the quality of the product itself.

 

No matter how high-end a Meizu Blue is, it is still Meizu Blue, which is most evident in the product's outer packaging. The packaging of Meizu Blue E maintains Meizu Blue's consistent style. It is much simpler than the MX6, which is only a few hundred yuan more expensive, but it is in line with the positioning of "youth quality product".

 

After opening the package, you can clearly feel that the charger of Meizu E is larger than its previous products, with a charging power of 18W. Meizu E itself supports fast charging. At the press conference, it was advertised that the built-in 3100mAh battery of the phone can be charged to 90% in 60 minutes.

 

The Meizu E family-style front face, coupled with a 5.5-inch full HD screen, looks almost the same as the Meizu Note 3 from the front.

 

To be fair, the border width of Meizu Blue E is not an advantage among Meizu products that feature "narrow border" design. The upper and lower double polished chamfers on the sides are the biggest difference from other Meizu Blue phones.

 

It is not surprising that the fingerprint recognition function appears on a mobile phone priced at 1,299 yuan. On the contrary, it is a bit regrettable that Meizu M3 E does not use a USB Type-C interface.

 

The back design of Meizu Blue E fully reflects the difference in design concept between Meizu Blue and other high-end products of Meizu. The three-section structure of the horizontal and vertical logo may even make people a little face-blind after being covered with the MEIZU logo.

 

Meizu M3 E did not adopt the curved antenna band design of Meizu MX or Pro, but the original white antenna band was processed to match the body color, which looks more harmonious.

 

The camera of Meizu M3 E has no protrusion at all, and the treatment of the camera hole in the all-metal body may be the best way to reflect the excellent industrial performance of Meizu M3 E, in addition to the side chamfers. The combination of different materials has no gaps at all, which is very satisfactory. The lens module of Meizu M3 E uses Sony IMX 258, which is the same as Redmi Pro.

 

In terms of system, the Flyme 5 on Meizu E is basically the same as the UI of other Meizu phones. The biggest difference is that it is based on YunOS, which makes Meizu E a member of the YunOS smart ecosystem and easily possesses wonderful functions such as controlling YunOS Internet cars.

As the most high-end Meizu blue phone, Meizu blue E can perhaps be understood as a technologically enhanced version of Meizu blue note 3. In terms of performance parameters, the 3GB running memory is actually on the same level as the high-end version of Meizu blue note 3. Overall, it seems that the extra few hundred dollars of Meizu blue E seems to be spent on face-saving projects.

But if you really want to become the owner of the YunOS Internet car Roewe RX5 and be the first to experience the future high-intelligence life, then the well-made car key of Meizu E is obviously more attractive than its competitors in the same class.
