The problem is that there is no option to turn off automatic updates in either the control panel or the settings, but this doesn't bother registry enthusiasts. Today we're going to completely turn off Windows Update. Go to "Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services" (or right-click "This PC" and click "Manage"), find the Windows Update item, and change "Startup Type" to "Disabled". What? You said that even if it's "disabled", Windows will still update, right? In fact, everyone only sees the previous options and ignores the big pit Microsoft has dug, so after using many other methods to modify it, Windows Update will still be updated. Don't rush to close the window just now, take a closer look at the tab above, there is also a "Recovery" item, and that's where the problem lies. The system defaults to "Restart the service" after the first failure. We just need to change it to "No Operation", then Windows Update can be completely stopped.
