According to preliminary estimates by the China Passenger Car Association, the total retail market size of narrow passenger cars in March 2025 will be about 1.85 million vehicles, up 9.1% year-on-year and 33.7% month-on-month. This data shows the strong vitality of the auto market in March. Among them, new energy vehicle retail sales are expected to reach 1 million, and the penetration rate has risen to 54.1% , becoming an important driving force for the growth of the auto market.

According to historical data, China's monthly sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 1 million units for the first time in August 2024.

Analysis pointed out that March, as the traditional peak season for the auto market, continued the heat from the end of February and the market atmosphere continued to be hot.

On the supply side, various automakers have actively invested in R&D and innovation, and launched a variety of products and marketing methods to enhance their competitiveness. New models have been launched in large numbers, and the speed of product iteration has significantly accelerated. Consumers have more novel and high-quality choices, and their willingness to buy cars has also increased.
