Google releases x86 64-bit Android L emulator

The video, created by Terence Tuhinanshu, shows a Nexus 7 2013 tablet running an app window floating on a darkened home screen, and while the app works fine, the user cannot move the window with the touch of a finger. Windowed Android apps have been around for a while, with various device manufacturers offering multi-window modes for their high-resolution devices.

It is currently rumored that Google will release a new generation of Nexus devices and Android L operating system on October 15.
