Apple releases second beta of iOS 8.3 to developers

Apple released the second beta of iOS 8.3 to developers today, two weeks after the first beta of iOS 8.3. The release of the iOS 8.3 beta is surprising because iOS 8.2, which supports the WatchKit SDK, is still in testing. Developers can download it through the iOS Developer Center. In addition, Apple also released Xcode 6.3 and a new version of the Swift programming language. Apple also released test software for the third-generation Apple TV.

iOS 8.2 is just a minor update, but it adds support for Apple Watch and WatchKit SDK. The first beta of iOS 8.3 adds many new features, including wireless CarPlay support, a new emoji selector, support for Google two-step verification, and support for Apple Pay in China in cooperation with the UnionPay network. In addition, the word "beta" has been removed from the iCloud Photo Library in iOS 8.3.
