Google releases Android system version share data at the beginning of each month, and this month's data is here again. Android Lollipop's share rose from 1.6% last month to 3.3%, a growth rate that obviously did not meet Google's expectations. Details of other versions are as follows: KitKat's share rose slightly to 40.9% from 39.7% last month; Jelly Bean's share fell from 44.5% last month to 42.6%, of which version 4.2 accounted for 19.4%; Ice Cream Sandwish's share dropped to 5.9%; Gingerbread and Froyo are still very popular, accounting for 6.9% and 0.4% of the market share respectively. (The top graph is from data published on March 2, 2015, and the bottom graph is from data published on February 2, 2015. The data was collected from Android devices that accessed the Google Play app store in the past seven days.) Many models released during MWC, such as Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Xperia Z4 Tablet, are equipped with Android Lollipop-based systems. It is believed that with the official launch of these models, the share of Lollipop will increase significantly. However, due to its openness and deep customization by various manufacturers, Android cannot be pushed uniformly like iOS, which greatly hinders the speed of upgrading from lower versions. |
