On April 2, Foxconn officially announced that it will participate in Apple's "Trade-in" program in China. The "Trade-in" program jointly launched by Foxconn and Apple in China has been officially implemented since March 31. Users only need to bring their ID cards (they need to back up all the contents of the old device) and ensure that the machine can be turned on normally, and then they can take their used or idle iPhones and iPads to Apple's 18 directly-operated stores in China to enjoy the trade-in service. iPhone and iPad products in Greater China, including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, are all within the scope of the program. Louis Woo, the person in charge of Foxconn's trade-in program, said that the "trade-in" program will adhere to the principle of "green and environmental protection, making the best use of things". Foxconn's professional team will inspect and repair the recycled equipment, and the whole process will be strictly carried out in accordance with the original factory standards. Except for the appearance, if there is a need to replace parts, they will be replaced with original and new parts. For machines that cannot be repaired, they will also be scrapped by officially designated professional environmental protection companies. Louis Woo said that Foxconn will ensure that every second-hand equipment shipped from the factory is fully functional and can be used with complete confidence. It is reported that in order to cooperate with the implementation of this plan, Foxconn has also specially registered a wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiaxing Aifengpai Trading Co., Ltd., to build sales channels. It is understood that this is also the only brand in the mainland that cooperates with the official exchange of old for new and authorized inspection and repair. In the future, Foxconn will sell all second-hand equipment that has undergone strict quality inspection and repair through this company, and Foxconn will provide a one-year warranty period for second-hand equipment sold again. All customers can use the serial number to check whether the second-hand machine they purchased is a second-hand machine that has been inspected by Foxconn, how long the warranty period is left, etc. on Aifengpai's customer service WeChat. "I hope that more users can experience high-quality products at second-hand prices." According to Hu Guohui, the current second-hand market is an unstimulated market. Choosing "Aifengpai" not only enjoys the guarantee of high quality, but also provides correct guidance and regulation for the mixed refurbished machine market. This old-for-new program will also further enhance the user experience. Since 2013, Apple has taken the lead in launching the iPhone trade-in program in the US market, and has gradually expanded it to markets outside the US. At the same time, this year, it also launched a non-iPhone trade-in program in the US for the first time. This is also the official launch of Apple's trade-in program in China. |
