W3C Report: Current Status and Development Roadmap of Mobile Web Application Standards (May 2015 Edition)

On June 3, 2015, W3C released a technical report entitled "Standards for Web Applications on Mobile" (May 2015 edition), which continues to review W3C's research and development of a series of technical standards to enhance the capabilities of Web applications in mobile computing.

The report is one of the outputs of the EU science and technology project HTML5pps and specifically updates new developments since January 2015, including the publication of the first public working drafts of the following four standards:

On February 10, 2015, the Audio Output Devices API working draft was released, which enables directional audio streaming to different audio output devices;

On February 17, 2015, the Presentation API working draft was released, which is the key component that makes second-screen presentation possible;

On February 26, 2015, the WCAG and UAAG working groups of the W3C Accessibility Initiative (WAI) released the first public working draft of the Mapping of Accessibility Guidelines to Mobile for applying WCAG 2.0 and other W3C/WAI guidelines in the mobile field .

On April 7, 2015, the working draft of the Permissions API was released, which can help web applications ask users about permissions for certain operations, and whether users authorize or deny a permission requested by the web application;

On April 16, 2015, the Web Payment Interest Group released the first public working draft of Payment Use Cases.
On April 30, 2015, a working draft of the Credential Management API was released , which enables web applications to interact with browsers to store user credentials.
