Android devices accused of poor IPv6 support

[[137880]]

Foreign media networkworld wrote that IPv4 address space is about to be exhausted, but IPv6 will be difficult to popularize without hardware support. There are billions of devices running Google Android system, and Android phones accounted for 78% of smartphones shipped in the first quarter of this year. However, Android has been criticized for its poor support for IPv6. Mobile devices often have to switch between wireless networks, and they are assigned dynamic addresses. DHCP is a network protocol that automatically assigns addresses within a network, but Android does not support its upgraded version DHCPv6.

But the author of the DHCPv6 standard RFC 3315 believes that it is not a mistake for Google Android not to support DHCPv6. He claims that using DHCPv6 to allocate addresses is a bad idea.
