Visual Studio 2015 will be released on July 20

Microsoft has announced that the official version of Visual Studio 2015 will be released and available for download on July 20, 9 days before the official release of Windows 10. Team Foundation Server 2015 and .NET Framework 4.6 will also be released at the same time.

Microsoft said Visual Studio 2015 is a major update version, including mobile application development across iOS, Android and Windows platforms, game development across engines such as Unity, Unreal and Cocos, diagnostic tools and new Roslyn language services to improve developer productivity, as well as Azure cloud tools, continuous integration, Application Insights, etc.

Microsoft has also prepared an online release event for Visual Studio 2015 on July 20. Visual Studio 2015 will have Community Edition, Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition, the prices of which have been announced before. The Community Edition is a free, fully functional version for individuals and small teams.

This July is really busy for Microsoft. In addition to Visual Studio, Windows 10 will also be officially released on July 29.
