Ali: Reduced quota

On September 7, Qu Yang, head of Alibaba's campus recruitment team, told a reporter from the China Business News that Alibaba has issued 1,407 letters of intent for its 2016 campus recruitment. In addition, with the ongoing regularization of interns and special interviews, hundreds of offers will be sent out in succession.

The reporter of *** Finance Daily learned from several insiders of Alibaba that on September 1, 2015, Alibaba held a meeting to adjust its talent strategy, which actually became a direct factor affecting the changes in campus recruitment in 2015. It is said that the overall idea of ​​the meeting was that in order to cope with Alibaba's organizational changes, it was necessary to adjust the talent strategy, select the best from the best, and change the slogan from "ordinary people doing extraordinary things" to "extraordinary people doing extraordinary things". The reduction in campus recruitment quotas is one of the results of implementing this policy. On the afternoon of September 1, after the above-mentioned talent strategy adjustment meeting, Alibaba released a statement on its campus recruitment official website and official WeChat account, explaining that: Due to the adjustment of the group's talent strategy, Alibaba's 2016 campus recruitment quotas will be reduced, and each position will implement a more stringent "select the best" standard, that is, students who have a high probability of being admitted according to the original quotas now have to face more intense competition.

Baidu: Slightly up

"The number of campus recruits at Baidu in 2016 will exceed 1,500, which is expected to be slightly higher than that in 2014." On September 8, Baidu disclosed the scale of campus recruitment in 2015 to the reporter of "*** Financial Daily".

While expanding the scale of campus recruitment in 2016, Baidu also expanded the scope of job recruitment. In the past, most of the positions for Baidu campus recruitment were technical positions, but this time Baidu campus recruitment has added HR, business development, business analyst and other positions to the technical positions, aiming to attract diversified talents.

Some industry insiders believe that Baidu's "big investment" in recruiting outstanding talents is to deepen its O2O strategic reserve talent team that connects 3,600 industries. Behind this, Baidu has already bet its first investment (20 billion in three years) on Nuomi. In addition, Baidu's investment in the first half of 2015 was mainly centered around O2O.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to regular campus presentations, Baidu’s “100 Talents Going to the United States Plan” and “4S Plan” are two of Baidu’s major projects for campus recruitment to attract talent.

In March 2015, Tencent's campus recruitment website released a campus recruitment information for 2016 graduates, showing that Tencent had more than 1,000 positions available, covering technology, visual design, planning, business analysis and many other positions. When asked what the biggest advantage of Tencent's 2016 campus recruitment was compared with other competitors, Tencent replied that the rich internship positions provided a diversified development platform, and the respect for individuality, relaxed and free working environment, and interesting internships allowed graduates to have a clearer understanding of their future career development direction.

JD.com: Will recruit more than 3,000 positions

On September 8, JD.com revealed to the reporter of "*** Financial Daily" that in 2015, JD.com opened more than 80 types of positions to fresh graduates, with a total number of more than 3,000 positions. In terms of job types, there are technical research and development, finance, logistics, marketing, functional, operation, etc. The work locations cover major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an, Nanjing, and Shenyang.

NetEase: Expanding to 2,000 people

In the Q&A section of NetEase's official website, it is mentioned that "NetEase Internet will expand recruitment in 2015 and is expected to issue nearly 2,000 offers", and it is specifically mentioned that "there is no limit on the number of positions in technical and product categories". It is worth mentioning that NetEase's campus recruitment started very early, in mid-August, a full month earlier than most companies, which also shows its determination to attract talents.

58.com: 23% increase

On September 8, 58.com told the reporter of *** Finance Daily that 92 people were hired in 2013, 152 in 2014, and 566 in 2015. In the new year of campus recruitment, we expect to recruit 700 people. Based on this ratio, the number of people hired in 2015 increased by 23% compared with 2014.

Which other companies are conducting campus recruitment?

The recruitment plans of the above companies are just the tip of the iceberg of the "talent enclosure movement" of Internet companies. The reporter of "*** Financial Daily" checked the websites of many Internet companies and found that Internet companies such as Sohu, Didi Kuaidi, and iQiyi have all drawn up detailed campus recruitment schedules and plans. Although the number of people has not been announced, the momentum is not small.

Among the many recruiting companies, most of them have scheduled their schedules to start in mid-September. For example, Didi Kuaidi’s first presentation was held on September 14; Meituan’s first presentation started on September 9, etc. However, the urgency of the resume deadline varies. For example, Dianping’s first batch of resumes (Nanjing, Wuhan, and Xi’an) was closed on September 15, but Shanghai and the “hidden batch” were closed on November 1; Didi Kuaidi set all deadlines on October 31, allowing for a two-month promotion period. Later companies, such as Coolpad, have the entire presentation process last from October to November.

In terms of positions, Internet companies have released a large number of technical positions in 2015. This may be the result of people choosing to "practice internal skills" under the current market conditions.
