It is reported that Google has transferred some services back to China, and the return process has been initiated

Following the news that Google Play will soon enter China, Google has made new progress in returning to mainland China. Industry insiders revealed that many of Google's services have been transferred back to Beijing, Shanghai and other places, and the return process should start.

According to the pictures provided by the above-mentioned person, many of Google's services have been transferred back to Beijing and Shanghai, and its IP address also shows "Google Company, Beijing, China". Based on this, it can be inferred that Google may have started the return process.

After leaving the Chinese market for five years, Google is expected to launch a customized version of the Google Play app store for mainland China as early as this fall, marking its first step back to China. Other Google services will then be introduced in the form of customized versions.

According to reports from well-known foreign media The Information and Business Insider, Google Play's special edition application in mainland China will comply with relevant laws and regulations in mainland China and will not provide online books and movies; at the same time, Google Play will also launch the Android Wear platform for the Chinese wearable device market, which is also optimized for the mainland China market.

In April this year, some netizens discovered that Google had registered several domain names related to Google Play and China, including googleplaychina.com/.cn/.com.cn and googleplaychinaedition.com.

However, as early as 2012, just two years after Google withdrew from China, it registered 18 ".cn" domain names including Google.cn, adsense.cn, and nexus.cn, but there has been no new action since then.

This is the latest public information disclosed by Google to China. Currently, all rumors about Google entering China are unconfirmed, and the official response may not come until October this year at the earliest.

In fact, the news of Google's return to China has been repeated many times over the years, just like the story of "crying wolf". If Google, a global giant, really returns to China, domestic manufacturers will also face huge pressure. But it is worth mentioning that China's market structure has changed a lot compared to five years ago.
