Refuse to share! iOS 11 major update introduces a new security mode

Recently, Apple released an updated beta version of iOS11.4, which is the 4th beta version of the iOS system. In addition to fixing the bugs in volume control and 3D Touch, this iOS update focused on making major updates to the security of the iOS system and launched a new security mode.

Compared with Android, an open-source system, iOS, as a closed-source system, has always been proud of its security. But security is not absolute. The iClouc pornographic photo scandal, App Store vulnerabilities, and the "jailbreaking" behavior that people are accustomed to have all had a significant impact on the security of the iOS system.

In order to protect user privacy, Apple has greatly restricted the rights of third-party apps to share user information in iOS 11.4, which was updated this time. Before sharing information, users must be given explicit consent and the purpose of sharing data must be clearly stated. Once illegal code is found, the app will be immediately removed from the APP Store.

In addition, iOS 11.4 also introduced a USB restricted mode. If the user does not unlock the device for more than seven days, the Lightning data port can only be used for charging, and data transfer and iTunes synchronization cannot be completed. This feature prevents the iOS device from being forcibly unlocked by others using jailbreak after it is lost, and also prevents personal information leakage caused by the loss of the device.

iOS11.4 is said to be the last updated version of iOS11. This version places so much emphasis on user security and privacy. It can be foreseen that the upcoming iOS 12 system will make greater improvements in security.
