Google officially releases Android P fifth developer preview update

Early this morning, Google officially launched the fifth developer preview (DP5) of Android P , which means that Android P is finally ready to face the vast number of Android users in the third quarter of 2018.

Specifically, according to the Android P version roadmap, DP5 is the last test version before the official version of Android P. Compared with the previous DP versions with relatively large changes, DP5 has fewer new contents and the changes are mainly concentrated on system stability.

Google has already released the firmware package for the Pixel series of models. The OTA update has not yet arrived, but as usual, the OTA update time will not be too far apart.

If readers have a Pixel and want to give it a try, it is recommended to clear the phone and then flash it, because there have been some problems with flashing from DP1 to DP2 before. But in general, since DP5 is the most stable test version at present, there should be no problem.

It is not known yet whether there are any new features added in DP5. We will keep a close eye on it and bring you the latest news about Android P DP5.
