According to AppleInsider, a US technology news website, within less than 48 hours of the iPhone XS and XS Max being released, many Verizon users who bought new Apple phones were unable to activate them because the Apple system was unable to authenticate Verizon users' billing zip codes and personal passwords.

However, both Apple and Verizon said the problem was not theirs.

There are signs that such failures affect a large number of users. On the social network Reddit, many Verizon users also said that they were unable to activate their phones. Users reported that both Apple and Verizon technical support staff said they did not know what the cause of the problem was.

According to media analysis, the root cause of the mobile phone activation failure may be a data mismatch between Apple and Verizon. It is not clear whether the two companies have begun to resolve the problem.

In fact, after the launch of Apple's new mobile phone, some unexpected incidents occurred. For example, last Friday, the reservation system of some Apple retail stores failed, and users who made reservations could not pick up their mobile phones. The retail store staff simply suggested that consumers cancel their reservations and buy them directly on site.

In addition, there were problems with the order system of the American express company UPS, and the delivery of the new Apple mobile phone that was originally scheduled to be delivered to consumers on Friday was postponed to next Monday.

According to Bloomberg and other media reports, Apple's new mobile phones this year set a new price record, but the upgraded content is just "minor repairs". However, last Friday, some consumers still lined up to buy them in many cities around the world.
