Today, Apple pushed the official iOS 12.0.1 system update. At the same time, Apple also stopped signing iOS 11.4.1, which means that the iOS 11.4.1 verification channel has been closed. Users will not be able to downgrade from iOS 12 back to iOS 11. Users can currently only downgrade from iOS 12.0.1 to iOS 12.
It is Apple's usual practice to release new iOS versions and stop downgrading old versions, and the time given to users to choose is not long. In addition to fixing bugs and vulnerabilities in a timely manner, Apple also wants to keep users' iPhones and iPads on the latest iOS system to a large extent. According to early data, iOS 12 has been installed on 50% of active devices, which exceeds the adoption rate of iOS 11 last year.
