Huawei reportedly in talks with third-party app stores to replace Google Play

On May 23, according to Phone Arena, Huawei is negotiating with the third-party app store Aptoide in an attempt to find an alternative to Google Play.

It is reported that Aptoide is one of the best alternatives to Google Play, the Google Play Store, and it has more than 900,000 apps.

Aptoide Executive Director Paulo Trezentos confirmed in an interview with Portuguese publication DN Insider that Aptoide had held several discussions and talks with Huawei in the hope of reaching a partnership.

The specific content of the cooperation is still unknown. It is speculated that one form of cooperation is to pre-install Aptoide on all Huawei smartphones in the future, and another form of cooperation is to integrate Aptoide content into the App Gallery store.

According to information, App Gallery is an application store launched by Huawei for the global market. The application store made its debut at the Huawei P20 series launch conference in Paris (the overseas version of the Huawei P20 series is pre-installed with App Gallery).
