Microsoft GitHub releases Android Beta version with support for dark mode

According to foreign media reports, GitHub officially released the Android Beta version, which is committed to easily completing certain tasks through mobile apps while obtaining a completely native experience.

Currently, GitHub's Android client only allows users to browse repositories, share feedback in discussion boards, and search among other features. Unless you are part of a merge request, you cannot view code, and you can only browse the README file of each repository.

It is reported that GitHub released an Android client in 2012, but it was removed from the Google Play Store in 2015. In addition, on November 14, 2019, GitHub launched an iOS Beta version.

In fact, the launch of GitHub mobile provides developers with greater flexibility. With GitHub mobile, developers can view code, merge changes, and share feedback anywhere. Since the mobile version of GitHub is built as a native native application, it can automatically adapt to different screen sizes in dark mode according to the user's system preferences.

But that’s not all that developers can do on GitHub. With GitHub for mobile, users can manage and triage incoming notifications, collaborate on issues and pull requests from anywhere, and never miss a direct mention.

It is worth mentioning that currently only a small number of developers who have received an invitation link via email (after registering in advance and joining the waiting list) can use the Beta version of the official GitHub Android client.
