QQ PC/mobile version big update: group video, one-click mute for all members

On February 9, Tencent made a major upgrade to QQ, and both the PC and Desktop versions were updated simultaneously. This was mainly due to the postponement of school opening times under the current epidemic, and the urgent need for online teaching in universities, colleges and primary and secondary schools across the country, so relevant functions were upgraded and optimized.

First of all, the new version of PC QQ has added a video call entrance in the group chat window , which can directly initiate a group video. For example, during voice teaching, teachers can quickly open a video call and share it.

It should be noted that group calls and group live broadcasts cannot be initiated in a group at the same time, and the iOS version does not currently support group videos.

At the same time, the screen sharing function of the PC version has added a regional sharing function. When sharing in full screen, the teacher can drag the four corners to adjust the size of the sharing area.

Both the PC and mobile versions have optimized the camera and microphone management capabilities. Group owners or administrators can mute all or individual members with one click, and after the setting, muted users will not be able to turn it on by themselves , which is conducive to maintaining classroom order.
